10 Dumb Stipulation Matches WWE Should Never Book Again

2. Strip Match

We'd thought the Women's Evolution had spelt the end of strip matches for WWE, but with the call for more edgy, sexualized content, who's to say WWE Creative won't book an evening gown or bra and panties match?

These nudity-teasing matches were a highlight of the Attitude Era, and as WWE tries to recapture the magic of the early 2000s, we could see a return of the detestable Strip Match. It's been 16 years since Melina and Torrie Wilson ripped each other's clothes off during Great American Bash 2005, and it felt cheap and exploitative back then. A revival in modern WWE would be tasteless and out of touch, though not totally out of the question.

Of all the entries on this list, strip matches are definitely the least likely to get booked in 2021. The brand has far too much equity to lose amongst its growing female audience, and the talent is well above the indignities of an undressing contest. But it never hurts to remind WWE of just how bad an idea this stipulation was to begin with.
