10 DUMB WWE Face Turns (We Didn't Want To Admit Were GENIUS!)

4. Paul Heyman (2024)

Some performers were born to be heel. Paul Heyman, a known antagonist and pain to many in real life over the years, has always been one of them. The only time Paul E really seemed like a neat fit for babyface life was when he had the backing of ECW rebellion and anti-authority edge. Without that, he's better as a villain.

Until 2024, that is.

Heyman was written off WWE TV on the 28 June SmackDown. Solo Sikoa and the rest of his Bloodline 2.0 brutally powerbombed the manager through a table as a message to Roman Reigns. Paul's showings as support for Solo's claim to the throne on SmackDown were so damn good that the group has lacked something since the announce table spot.

Going forwards, Heyman can return as a bonafide good guy and advisor to renewed babyface kingpin Roman. Who knew?! There's nothing especially likeable about Paul's persona on the surface, but his range came to the fore over summer and it's exciting to ponder what's next.
