Only 219 days had passed since Daniel Bryan's emotional in-ring comeback at WrestleMania 34 when he hoofed AJ Styles in the balls and stole the WWE Title on the 13 November 2018 SmackDown. That vicious move fed into Bryan proudly proclaiming that he was the "New" version of himself.

Instantly, older fans groaned. When had "New" anything not-named the New World Order worked? Things would be different under Bryan's watch, but that's what happens when you're dealing with one of the finest all-rounders to ever grace rings. That didn't alter the fact that countless fans turned their noses up at WWE cutting his babyface comeback relatively short.

Seven months hadn't been long enough for those who fancied smiling through tears upon seeing Daniel wrestle again when that once seemed impossible. Bryan was determined to do something fresh though, so he introduced a new eco-friendly version of the top belt, and both ranted and raved about the state of the world in between title defences.

In a genius move, these were Dan's real-life thoughts turned all the way up to 11.
