10 Dumbest Heel Plans In Wrestling
2. Mr. Kennedy's Plan To Cash-In At WrestleMania Involves Him Defending The Briefcase
Mr. Kennedy again proved that simply earning the title of Mr. Money in the Bank was anything but a guarantee for success.
In the wake of unhooking the career-making briefcase back at WrestleMania 23, the loud-mouth heel looked like he was on course to become the latest star to taste main event superstardom further down the road.
And in a particularly brilliant move, Kennedy even went on record to note precisely when he would be cashing in his world title shot; at next year's Show of Shows.
So, why then, would a smug Kennedy be so foolish as to allow himself to be tricked into putting his most prized possession on the line in a bout against former MITB briefcase holder Edge just a few weeks on from his game-changing win?
Getting one over on The Rated 'R' Superstar would've been lovely and all. But was it really worth risking the biggest moment of his career over?
And just to add further insult to injury, the real-life triceps problem that forced the dumb development of Kennedy putting his case on the line against Edge turned out to be less serious than initially thought. But the damage had already been done and Kennedy was made to look like quite the fool in the process.
