10 Dumbest Things WCW Did To Sting

Sting€™s track record at The Great American Bash doesn't exactly setting the world on fire. (see what I did there?). The reason for the match between Sting and Rick Steiner in 1999 doesn't matter as much as what happened during the finish. It is hard to pull off a Falls Count Anywhere Match that keeps the live audience engaged after the wrestlers brawl to the locker room area.

As a fan, you no longer feel that connection as you stare at a video screen in an arena. It€™s even harder to stay engaged when a wrestler is attacked by three dogs and the camera cuts out before anything substantial happens. Once Sting and Steiner made their way through the curtain, the sloppy direction of WCW€™s production crew was front and center.

Scott Steiner, Rick€™s brother, sent three vicious dogs after Sting, who had to fend them off. What we saw was Sting fighting off one dog with his hand, which now had a white safety glove around it that™ wasn't there before, and the other which was attached to his kneepad. The camera cut out before the third could get to him as the crowd sat on their hands.

Then Rick and Scott Steiner dragged the referee to the ring to bully him into declaring Rick the winner of the match. These are things that REALLY happened.
