3. The Bash

The Great American Bash was such a great PPV name, but perhaps in an attempt to make the show seem more global, it was shortened to merely "The Bash" for its final PPV outing to date in 2009.

It's a name that lacks the majesty of the original and just sounds totally lame by comparison. If the objective was indeed to give the show a wider international appeal, it categorically failed; The Bash posted almost 100,000 fewer buys than the previous year's, effectively killing it outright.

Fans would surely embrace it returning under its original moniker, but of course, that would require WWE admitting that they screwed up.
