2. John Cena

Is it too soon for John Cena to break Ric Flair's (concocted) record of 16 World Title wins, an achievement set in motion following John Cena's record-tying third Rumble win?

You'd think so. There's a years-long story arc in it, of Cena failing at the last hurdle every time, of Cena slowly relinquishing his grip at the top to the next generation, of Cena teasing a turn to the dark side, only to - yes! - rise above hate and win it the right way. But was it too soon for WWE to unify the WWE and World Heavyweight Titles at TLC 2013? Too soon to promote John Cena Vs. Batista with next to build at SummerSlam 2008? Too soon to rush through the Charlotte Vs. Sasha Banks programme last year, squandering a legacy feud so badly that few would want to revisit it for aeons? And, most telling of all: too soon for WWE to hand Cena his 16th World Title, only to drop it after an absolutely pointless transitional reign?

You never can tell. WWE teased the life out of Cena Vs. Roman Reigns on RAW this week - a WrestleMania WWE Title match if ever there was one. It literally isn'y hyperbole to expect it at TLC - and it's a RAW brand PPV this year...
