10 Early Predictions For WWE WrestleMania 34

1. Brock Lesnar Vs. Roman Reigns - WWE Universal Title Match

This isn't a prediction; as per the Wrestling Observer (which successfully called near enough entire the WrestleMania 33 card months in advance, it should be noted), Brock Lesnar Vs. Roman Reigns is already pencilled in as the main event in New Orleans.

It makes sense. Both men are the only two in history to have defeated the Undertaker on the grandest stage. The marketing writes itself, and it's the closest thing to getting the Undertaker on the 'Mania card without him actually appearing on it.

The match isn't one the hardcores want to see, but the original, at WrestleMania 31, was a total blinder. Reigns sold Lesnar's brutal offence so well that he came across as an actual human being. It's no coincidence that his subsequent work with The Big Show was so well-received - his performance in Santa Clara demonstrated that there was an effective, understated babyface lurking beneath the manufactured surface layer.

Roman Reigns was practically murdered by Braun Strowman a few weeks back in what was possibly the most transparent ploy for sympathy ever booked, but he's still going to get booed out of the building on Sunday. Yet another 'Mania main event isn't going to stem the tide, but it's going to be a classic.

Every cloud.
