10 Early Wrestling Predictions For 2018

7. We Will See WarGames On The Main Roster

On a more positive note, WarGames is going to be brilliant. It cannot not be brilliant. The structure of the match is precision-calibrated to yield drama, spectacle and brutality. Judged on its own merits, the SAnitY Vs. Undisputed Era Vs. Authors of Pain & Roderick Strong programme is lacking in genuine emotion - but with the addition of meshed artifice, it has become the most anticipated match on the remaining WWE calendar.

The players involved should elevate it on the night, as so often has happened in the recent history of TakeOver. The TV show has lost the buzz, but the brand has consistently delivered the goods. Sympathetic babyface Roderick Strong, fighting from underneath in an epic display of fortitude, should carry the emotional current. Adam Cole and his merry band of ROH brothers should carry the workrate. The might of mass that is SAnitY, Akam and Rezar should deliver the power violence aspect of the WarGames manifesto.

This has all the potential to reach the elusive ***** status, an achievement WWE hasn't managed in six years, and has only managed five times in its entire history.

Consequently, it is also an inexorable game-changer - something WWE will be compelled to transpose to the main roster in the problematic cold months.
