10 Edge And Christian WWE Matches That Totally Reeked Of Awesomeness

8. The Hardy Boyz Vs. Edge And Christian (Unforgiven 2000)

Edge and Christian had dominated tag team wrestling for most of 2000, reeking of awesomeness as they survived championship clashes with the likes of the Dudley Boyz, The Hardy Boyz and APA. At Unforgiven in September, their war with Matt and Jeff Hardy would continue with a massively important steel cage match that figured to bring the latest chapter of their program to an end. The heels dominated the action, isolating Matt inside the cage while refusing to allow Jeff back inside. A late-match Whisper in the Wind from the top of the structure sparked a Hardy Boyz comeback and interference from Lita helped the babyfaces win the tag straps for the first time since July 1999. While the spotlight was solely on the Hardy Boyz as they regained the tag titles, it was Edge and Christian who had the heel heat necessary to make the match the success it was. They were fantastic during the build to the bout and as the unexpectedly vicious champions, really brought an air of aggression to the contest that few would have expected.
