Lita will go down in wrestling history as one of the most influential stars of her era, with the extreme icon's bouts against Trish Stratus in particular helping pave the way for the Women's Revolution to come.

But even after helping change the game for the women of tomorrow, WWE still weren't willing to give the eventual Hall of Famer the sort of send-off she undoubtedly deserved back in 2006.

While the contest itself wasn't exactly awful, her bout with Mickie James over the Women's Championship will forever be connected to the utterly horrendous actions that followed as Cryme Tyme were soon sent out to humiliate the departing heel legend.

That absolutely dreadful "Hoe Sale", one which genuinely saw JBL attempt to purchase a pair of Lita's panties on commentary, was uncomfortable to take in almost two decades ago and its a grim occurrence that the star herself has openly confessed to being "super uncool with" at the time (via WrestlingInc).

Both Lita and WWE have clearly made an effort to bury those depressing memories of that initial retirement bout with the star's subsequent showdowns against and alongside Becky Lynch over the last few years, too.

And thankfully, after being grossly disrespected all those years ago, Lita is now at least happy with the work she's been a part of during this latest "bonus" run (via Sportskeeda).
