10 Embarrassing Times Wrestlers Tried To Look Cool
1. Sheamus Regrettably Does Look Stupid
God f*cking bless Sheamus, man.
He provides such impossible value to the otherwise deadening viewing experience that is watching WWE Monday Night RAW in 2021. The show is absolutely horrific: just this dismal atrocity that is chaotic and stupid and laughable, but so soulless and long that it isn't even perversely entertaining.
And yet, for 15 minutes or so when he's give the time in addition to some poor f*cker's corpse, Sheamus brings the uncanny valley to life with matches that are as intelligently crafted as they look - even feel - physically painful. Nothing matters in WWE. Nothing. The empty arena backdrop is soul-destroying. The man somehow extracts drama from said nothing.
WWE does not deserve him, and maybe we don't either, because we all told him he looked stupid in 2015. And to be fair, he did. People always look weird when they get a new, radical haircut, and Sheamus got about seven new haircuts at once with his mohawk and braided beard.
The sad thing is that you knew what he was going for - with the new look, he wished to disassociate himself from his good-not-great World Title run years - and he developed a new, even worse stigma immediately.
