God bless Gorilla Monsoon. No, really. The announcing great genuinely tried to present his astonishment and excitement on a 1995 episode of antiquated weekly Wrestling Challenge, and he did it when Phantasio (of all people) was in the ring. What a worker - Gorilla, not the magician.

He was crap.

Phantasio's litany of "incredible" tricks included pulling his mask off to reveal he was wearing face paint that were identical to said mask, pulling what looked like Christmas tinsel out of his mouth, pulling opponent Tony DeVito's underwear off for the finish and pulling everyone's leg that he deserved to do this nonsense inside a WWF ring.

The man behind the erm...magic holds the distinction of only wrestling one televised match for the company before heading back from whence he came to the USWA. Nobody missed him, except for Monsoon. If only fans had shared the commentator's energy.
