At WrestleMania 30, The Undertaker broke his character in a way that none of us ever imagined happening. His act had been synonymous with the WrestleMania undefeated streak for well over a decade. But on April 6 2014, he broke with the very biggest thing that his character was built upon. Although the streak was technically a narrative, it was hand in hand with The Undertaker character by Mania 30. It was the reason for his very existence. You couldn't really imagine one without the other. But at Mania 30, the WWE bravely broke the character. Brock Lesnar ended the streak in a terrible match. When Taker stood back up after the bout, it wasn't the same character who had gone into the contest. The man stood in the ring at that point was just plain old Mark Calaway, as shocked fans respectfully started to cheer.
