The Moment: Vince McMahon raised both fists into the air as his 'Team WWF' beat 'Team Alliance' at Survivor Series 2001. On commentary, Jim Ross all-but spat in the direction of cohort Paul Heyman and reminded him his days were probably numbered.

Behind the scenes, the WWF were already making plans to bring back an old fave.

The Return: According to JR's second book, 'Under The Black Hat', his old pal Jerry Lawler had already been called and asked to come back to the colour commentary hot seat. The 'King' had walked out on the promotion around nine months earlier when they fired his then-wife The Kat, but he was ready to return, and the pay-per-view result made things official.

24 hours later on Raw, Heyman was kayfabe fired from his announcing gig for daring to side with the WCW/ECW rebels and Lawler marched out amidst cheers to re-spark his popular team alongside Ross. Everyone was happy with the change despite Heyman's great work.
