There's still time for Lex Luger to get inducted into WWE's Hall Of Fame.

Luger has his detractors (they've always been there), but he was a top star in the promotion for a while and has done enough in groups like WCW to merit inclusion. Fingers crossed Lex gets there, because it'd be a beautiful moment. Nobody at the WWF was describing 4 September 1995 as that though.

There, Luger shockingly showed up on Monday Nitro's debut episode. That caught the WWF by surprise; they'd assumed Lex would ink a contract extension for weeks, but he jumped ship to the competition instead. Lex's name was mud in WWE circles after that. His actions left Vince McMahon with a red face and infuriated him for years.

Luger bolted to join Eric Bischoff's revolution when McMahon believed he could count on the guy to remain one of his stalwart stars. It was a stunning decision from Lex, one that'd cost him the chance to make a WWE return once WCW hit the skids.

He's still waiting...
