7. Seth Rollins And The Fiend Go To Hell (2019)

After enjoying a generally successful first half of 2019, winning the Royal Rumble and overcoming Brock Lesnar on two separate occasions, reigning babyface Universal Champion Seth Rollins came face-to-face with his latest challenger.

At this point, Bray Wyatt's 'Fiend' schtick was still rather compelling, and seeing 'The Fiend' pop up at the end of Clash of Champions and target the champ certainly captured fans' attention.

The next few weeks saw Wyatt play some Firefly Funhouse mind games with his Hell in a Cell opponent, and the idea of the rivals being locked inside of the titular structure together felt like a recipe for silly-yet-explosive shenanigans.

Instead of sending fans home happy with a satisfying conclusion to this chapter in their program, though, their slasher movie inside Hell in a Cell soon turned into a wrestling nightmare. The bout was ultimately absurdly ended via "referee stoppage" after Seth got a little too extreme within a stipulation that boasted the word "hell" in it.

There was no saving this feud or Rollins' babyface character after that night in Sacramento. And despite beating Rollins for the gold at the next PLE, fans didn't really connect with 'The Fiend' schtick in the same way again after it was obliterated inside of the red cage.
