2. Ambrose Gets Vaccinated (2018)
Whether you were a fan of WWE's decision to pull the trigger on yet another Shield implosion on the same night Roman Reigns announced he was battling leukaemia or not, the thought of Dean Ambrose playing heel for the first time in years definitely felt intriguing at the time.
Not too long after turning on Seth Rollins in the wake of their Raw Tag Team Championship victory in October 2018, Ambrose opted to burn his Shield gear and renounce the faction that made him weak.
So far, so effectively despicable.
But a couple weeks on from that vest melting, Ambrose took part in a skit so painful, it pretty much killed off any interest in the two one-time brothers locking horns at all.
The look on Jon Moxley's face as he winced his way through an injection in the ass was the same one shared by just about everyone watching on. His bizarre monologuing about how he didn't want to risk catching a disease from the vermin in attendance turned what could have been a deeply personal battle between former pals into something frustratingly hokey and silly.
It's unsurprising to hear that this promo left the perplexed future AEW World Champion feeling like he should walk out on the company there and then. This hugely dumb segment not only turned many off a once-promising blood feud, it left Ambrose looking like a cartoonish villain few could honestly take seriously for the remainder of his final WWE heel run.
