10 Examples Of Triple H Being Ridiculously Selfish At WrestleMania

3. Triple H Wrestling The Undertaker 3 Times (WrestleMania X-Seven, XXVII, & XXVIII)

Despite his loss to Brock Lesnar at last year€™s event, the Undertaker is still synonymous with WrestleMania. He has faced a plethora of opponents, some of them twice; but no one has faced off against the Deadman more than Triple H. While their first encounter at WrestleMania X-Seven was a good one and made sense from a storyline perspective, their encounters a decade later could€™ve been replaced by the Undertaker facing off against someone else. Taker€™s matches at WrestleManias XXVII and XXVIII were two of the most ideal moments where €˜Taker could€™ve faced someone younger or someone on the rise. Some fans still discuss the €˜what-if€™ scenario of Undertaker taking on John Cena at WrestleMania, or Undertaker taking on CM Punk a year earlier. Hell, there was even discussion of Undertaker taking on Wade Barrett at Mania XXVII following the Nexus€™ involvement in the Undertaker€™s Buried Alive match with Kane at Bragging Rights 2010. What we got instead was Triple H vs. the Undertaker at two consecutive shows. Sure, they were great matches, but there really wasn€™t much of a reason for the Game to be taking on the Deadman. Undertaker€™s role at that point was clearly geared towards helping build newer stars and working with the younger guys. He did not need to take part in those matches with HHH, despite the interest in both of them. These matches seem to have taken place because Triple H must€™ve convinced some people, including the Undertaker himself that, since Brock Lesnar wasn€™t interested in working with him at the time (despite Undertaker wanting Lesnar to be the one to end the Streak at the time), HHH was the only person worthy of taking the Deadman on. With all due respect to Triple H, it would€™ve been nicer to see someone else take the Undertaker on at WrestleMania than him.
