10 Examples Of WWE Punishment Booking
2. Daniel Puder
Tough Enough's Daniel Puder learned the hard way that it's generally a bad idea to bring legitimate fighting into the kayfabe world of WWE.
In 2004, the rookie - participating in A scripted shoot challenge on SmackDown - put Kurt Angle in a Kimura lock for real, coming a hair's breadth away from forcing one of WWE's biggest stars to tap out (a fate that Angle only avoided by the quick thinking of the referee, who counted a dubious pin).
Angle was said to be furious afterwards, and apparently so too were Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit, and Hardcore Holly, who took turns hitting vicious chops on Puder's bare chest during his subsequent appearance in the 2005 Royal Rumble.
Moral of the story: don't mess with the old guard.
