10 Famous Wrestlers No One Liked Working With
3. Hulk Hogan
Arguably the biggest star in professional wrestling history, it appears Terry Bollea had far more in common with his villainous Hollywood Hogan persona than the noble Hulkamania one. Screwed over several times in the earlier years of his career, the Hulkster appreciated the importance of protecting his image by the time he arrived in WWE.
While his politicking kept him front and centre, it also proved a huge hindrance for other talents. He's been linked to the cancellation of Curt Hennig's proposed main event push in WWE, leaving Mr Perfect in Intercontinental title purgatory for years. Not one to be outshone, Hogan had Jake Roberts' push dropped too when he noticed the positive reception the Snake was getting from fans.
Many peers have implied Hogan had a bit of the Harvey Dents about him, saying one thing to fellow wrestlers and an entirely different (read: worse) thing to management. With creative control in his WCW contract, Hulkamania ran wild backstage. Hogan frequently meddled with angles and pushes left, right and centre. Most egregious of all are his refusal to put Sting over properly at Starrcade 97 and his demand that The Ultimate Warrior be brought in just to job to him. Rumours have even abounded Hogan wanted Yokozuna specifically to get his win back from 93. Age didn't do much to mellow the fake tan fanatic as Shawn Michaels and Randy Orton can attest.
A pioneer of promos, character work and marketing, the long time fan favourite ultimately burned out due to ego and a series of private embarrassments made public.
