10 Famous Wrestlers With Terrible Finishers

2. The Ultimate Warrior - Running Splash

Warrior ran. Warrior jumped a foot in the air. Warrior landed on his opponent.

For someone who possessed such incredible charisma, along with an amazing physique, Warrior had one of the most underwhelming, weakest finishing moves ever in wrestling.

Some people may argue that Hulk Hogan’s finisher is just as bad, or even worse, but a man who is 6-food-8 landing his leg across your throat (especially in his earlier years when he would actually jump) would likely hurt quite a bit. He also had the Big Boot set up that popped the crowd, and it let him showboat a bit before putting away his opponent with the leg. It's classic!

Warrior did set up his finisher as well with the Gorilla Press Slam, but that move was more impressive than his finale. Running into the ropes and then jumping is a dumb move even for guys like Earthquake and Viscera, but for a guy less than half their size, it basically looks silly and is nowhere near ultimate.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
