For much of Mark Henry’s career, he was legitimately one of the strongest men on the planet. He could have hit anyone with any move, at any time he wanted to and they would have been helpless to stop him. So what did he decide to use for most of his run to finish people off? The World’s Strongest Slam.

To get things out of the way, it's really not the strongest slam in the world, since he doesn't lift his opponent over his head. That would take more strength, thus being stronger! His slam is basically going through the effort of picking his opponent up to his chest, and then deciding to give up halfway through and subsequently falling on them.

Henry would have been better served dishing out some sort of powerbomb or powerslam...something with power in it. Or hell, he probably could have simply thrown his opponent 20 feet into the air if he felt like it. But one of the company's most powerful superstars ever has gone with a pretty weak finisher.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
