4. Mick Foley - The Mandible Claw

Mick Foley has had a couple of finishers that worked well throughout his career with the piledriver and Double Underhook DDT. Later on he busted out a sock, and probably should have just put it back down his pants.

With the evil version of Mankind, the Mandible Claw kind of worked in a way, as you could imagine the deranged superstar not having a problem putting his hand in people’s mouths to incapacitate them. However, in execution it never looked right. He doesn’t hold his opponents arms or legs or anything, so they’re still free to move around as they please. They could also, you know, bite his fingers off if they so felt like it.

Later on Foley was growing complacent with the move, so he spiced things up and put a sock on his hand. This did not make the move better, surprisingly. It just made it even grosser.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
