1. He Paid Fines For Other WWE Stars?!
This is mind-blowing.
Former WWE man Aiden English (now a commentator in IMPACT) told fans on Twitter in 2020 that Cena paid hefty fines for he and several other wrestlers a few years before. WWE management fined English, Rusev, AJ Styles, The Usos and Baron Corbin for clowning around during a SmackDown dark match in 2018.
That apparently didn't sit well with Cena, so he stumped up the cash on their behalf. Get this: WWE fines amounted to approx $20,000 per wrestler, which means John could've forked over around $120,000. That sounds unrealistic, but Aiden says the poster boy did sort things out for them.
It's possible that Cena flexed his backstage muscle by stepping in and having a word with management for everybody. Maybe the fines were waived in the end, but it's awesome that he went to bat for some of the roster about something so harmless regardless.
