OK, this is pretty awkward.

In 2019, John appeared on Andy Cohen's 'Watch What Happens Live' show and admitted that he's accidentally popped a few boners during matches in-ring. What's more, this became something of a running joke behind the scenes in WWE for a while. How mad is that?

Explaining, Cena said that it's just a natural reaction. Yeah, because nobody can hit a few shoulder tackles or suplexes without getting turned on, eh? Seriously though, what a strange, strange admission this was. Light-hearted for sure, but still unexpected by both Cohen's viewers and pro wrestling fans alike.

It's even stranger to think of everyone gathering round the backstage monitors to see if ol' Super Cena might pop a stiff one during some of his latter-day bouts. Thank God nobody had the idea to turn this into a running gag on-screen, because that could've been disastrous.

No-one needed Michael Cole yelling, "...and Cena's popped one after that near fall yet again!".
