A lot of big name pro wrestlers viewed house show loops as a necessary evil in their primes. In fact, some like Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and others negotiated terms in their contracts with WCW that meant they didn't have to tour and only did TV/PPV. Then there was Chris Jericho's odd request in 2015.

'Y2J' turned down a spot in the 2015 Royal Rumble match and told WWE he...only wanted to work house shows. That meant Jericho only worked three matches on camera that year. They came vs. Neville at Beast In The East on 4 July, a six man at Night Of Champions in September, and vs. Kevin Owens on the Live From MSG special on 3 October.

That was it.

Jericho broached the Rumble situation on his podcast, and said he fancied exclusively wrestling live events for added value on those cards. Vince McMahon surely didn’t like that plan much, but the boss went along with it for a while. It's a unique stat to say that two of Jericho's three televised matches in 2015 fell on live, non-PPV WWE Network specials too.
