9. WWE Didn't Tell AJ Styles ANYTHING!

Meanwhile, debutant AJ Styles was still finding his feet in the company.

Styles would later reveal during various interviews for WWE platforms that management kept him in the dark about their plans for him. Incredibly, AJ didn't even know if he was going to work that evening's Rumble match until hours before the event. He certainly didn't have a clue when Samoa Joe picked him up from the airport that morning.

They arrived at the building without any word from creative about exactly what WWE wanted from Styles. His first few months in the promotion were pieced together quietly; that included his WrestleMania 32 match vs. Chris Jericho. AJ just went along for the ride despite knowing since early-January that he was WWE bound.

You'd think WWE would have a concrete plan locked in place for someone the level of Styles, but no. They didn't. His early run was a shadowy secret, but things worked out in the end. The less said about "Y2AJ" the better, mind. That was crap.
