...in what would have proved to be his last.

Mr Consistent from the moment The Shield debuted in 2012, the artist now known as Jon Moxley hadn't missed a WrestleMania (or, for that matter, just about any show) until he was sidelined with a torn tricep in late 2017. This kept him out of WrestleMania 34, with SummerSlam 2018 the first "Big Four" he was able to make after a long spell on the sidelines. It'd be - as of this writing - the last August supercard he'd work for WWE, electing after January 2019's Royal Rumble to see out the remainder of his contract and head for pastures new.

Between then and his April 2019 departure, WWE made several attempts to change his mind, including-but-not-limited-to reuniting him as a babyface with Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. Nothing worked. Rollins and Reigns had singles success at WrestleMania 35, but it was one of Ambrose's final nights off before he exploded back into life as Jon Moxley for both NJPW and AEW. Never say never, but the next 'Show Of Shows' looks more of a pipe dream with each passing blood-soaked year.
