As cold and ruthless as members of the McMahon family appear to be (in kayfabe and out), one would assume that they cringe harder than anyone else when one of their bloodline performs a high-risk wrestling stunt.

Vince himself has bled buckets, and has endured chair strikes and table bumps, but rarely has he partaken in the sort of Evel Knievel stunt work that Shane is accustomed to. The boss' heart surely sinks when his only son plummets from some great height. In 2014, the elder McMahon admitted that he was very much considering breaking character and stopping the match between his Shane and Angle on that June evening.

Said the Chairman, “I was very, very close to walking out there and just stopping it. I was concerned that my son was putting himself in harm’s way and hurting himself just because he has the heart of a great performer.”
