The main event triple threat provided an opportunity to introduce another WCW soldier, this one in the form of the company's final champion. Booker T jumped the railing late in the match in order to attack WWE Champion Austin, drawing a sizable reaction for dropping Stone Cold through the Spanish announce desk.

The assault on Austin could've gone much smoother. Booker recalls that the table was supposed to be cleared of all cumbersome objects (TV monitors, front panel, etc) before his entrance, giving him a safer surface to deposit Austin onto. That wasn't the case, and Booker had no time to clear away the clutter before the money spot. Instead, he tossed Austin over the curved panel, aiming for the flatter desk surface.

Austin ended up breaking his hand when he partially caught the table, while the other half of his body hit the floor with diminished cushion. Booker also remembers Bruce Prichard telling him that he should pack Austin's bags for him as a way of making amends, which Booker refused to do. As he tells it, he simply apologized to Austin, and Austin said it was no problem.
