In 2002, within about a three-month stretch, WWE called Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton, Dave Batista, and John Cena up to the main roster from Ohio Valley Wrestling. Their collective legacy is virtually unmatched by any other group of new stars debuting at roughly the same time - not even The Shield nor The Radicalz come close.

Lesnar left the company after WrestleMania 20 in 2004, while Orton, Batista, and Cena would continue their respective climbs to the main event level. When Lesnar returned in 2012, it was two years after Batista had parted ways with the company.

Batista's return made it possible for the 2014 Rumble to the be the first PPV since WrestleMania 20 to have each member of that quartet in action. Lesnar murdered Big Show, Cena and Orton made the crowd angry by wrestling each other, and Batista made them even angrier by winning the Rumble match.
