Throughout 2020 and into 2021, and Montel Vontavius Porter has been, and continues to be, a mainstay of WWE programming. Over these past 12 months, few people have had as much TV time as MVP - and the former United States Champion has absolutely knocked it out of the park with whatever WWE has put his way.

If 2020 wasn't, well, 2020, MVP wouldn't have had a role on WWE TV past the post-Royal Rumble episode of WWE Raw.

The original plan for MVP's return to the company, was for him to work backstage as a producer. As part of that return, the charismatic performer would make a surprise appearance in the men's Rumble match, and then MVP was to have his final ever match against Rey Mysterio on the following night's Raw.

Once 2020 started to go to the dogs and WWE temporarily lost certain on-screen talents due to the pandemic, the opportunity came MVP's way to be a semi-regular wrestler and a permanent on-screen presence. When the company was in a major time of need, it was MVP they turned to - and now it's impossible to think of WWE programming without thinking of MVP and his Hurt Business buddies dominating so much TV time.
