The four members of The Hart Foundation (five if you count "unofficial" member Brian Pillman) were all involved with a different wager at SummerSlam 1997. Bret, Owen, Bulldog, and Pillman were all in matches where they had something to gain or lose as a result of their respective outcomes. Neidhart didn't wrestle, but vowed on an episode of Raw that he would shave his goatee if any of his allies lost their matches.

Neidhart was not present at SummerSlam, apparently dealing with some previous obligations involving independent promotions. He never shaved his goatee as promised, which he theoretically should have, seeing as Owen and Pillman lost their matches to Austin and Goldust, respectively.

Neidhart resurfaced in late-September 1997, after having been missing since mid-July, and nothing was ever made of that wager.
