1. The Rock Cut A Heel Promo On The Fans After The Show

SummerSlam 2002 faded to black less than a minute after Lesnar scored the winning pin, cutting off as Brock gleefully examined his golden token as though it were a 72-ounce steak. That image capped off a three-hour spectacle that did more than enough to earn a rave thumbs up. Alas, the den-dwellers not at the Nassau Coliseum missed out on a nifty bonus.

Lesnar left The Rock behind in the ring, and "The Great One" began what would be his farewell promo before jetting off to Tinseltown. As the Long Island crowd booed him (which they did for the match as well), Rock teased his "Finally...." spiel amidst the vitriol. Then he went, as he would say, off-script.

Rock caustically boomed, “It doesn’t matter where The Rock has come back to!”, before declaring that he was still leaving here as "The People's Champion". Fans showered him with "Rocky Sucks" chants, that old classic, as he left the WWE for nearly six months. That snide parting shot would, in hindsight, serve as a bit of foreshadowing for one of the most entertaining heel runs ever once Rock returned.
