If you've seen the match, you know that Shawn Michaels does more overexaggerated flips in 21 minutes than you'll see on three consecutive PWG shows. The flopping around was reminiscent of the way Mr. Perfect would sell for an opponent like Hogan in the early-nineties, and didn't feel as sabotaging as some perceive it. But Michaels does admit he was unprofessional that day, with few regrets.

Fed up with Hogan scrapping the remaining matches, and allegedly being two-faced over Shawn's promos, Michaels made a point to, in his words, "poke the bear" all day, presumably getting under Hogan's skin as much as possible before going out for the match. Michaels said he wanted to make Hogan "earn it", and that his antics were for his own amusement, admitting that they weren't exactly professional.
