5. Braun Strowman Was Considered To Fill Rowan's Spot

One night after SummerSlam, Braun Strowman made his main roster debut, helping his new Wyatt cohorts pick apart Reigns and Ambrose in brutal fashion. Early response to Strowman was that he another waste of mass from WWE's factory of super-heavyweight slugs. And by golly, that response held up, as fans are certainly not cheering Strowman's acts of super-powered destruction today.

When Erick Rowan was injured, there was a thought that Strowman (whose fast track to the main show was in following Vince's yellow-brick drool) could take his spot in the six-man tag, with Sting still on the other team. That thought quickly disappeared, as having the Strowman reveal and the Sting surprise at the same time would make one of the two feel less significant. Chances are, it'd be Strowman by default.

WWE recycled the mystery partner six-man idea for Night of Champions a month after Strowman's debut, by feeding Chris Jericho to the monster.
