Apparently, the plan was for Michaels to enter fifth, and Kane to come in last. When the wrestlers were lying down selling as the clock ticked toward Michaels' entry, they were not anticipating Kane arriving into the match seconds later. Flying by the seat of their pants to restructure the match, Jericho ordered Kane to launch him through one of the empty retaining pods, which Jericho concedes was quite painful.
Michaels' planned entry into the match was supposed to see him clean house with babyface fire throughout the five minute duration. Kane being pressed into action prematurely threw the itinerary off.
