7. It Was The First Time Heels Came Back From Down Three Wrestlers To Win
The booking of that opening elimination match seemed backward by conventional standards. Reigns and Rollins (heels, despite the Shield's popularity) went down five-to-two after the eliminations of Dean Ambrose, Cesaro, and Jack Swagger. Booking them to come back and win would ordinarily make the babyfaces look weak and feeble, but Reigns was shown to be a heel with actual mettle.
The only times that someone has come back to win from that sort of major deficit at a Survivor Series, the wrestlers have been babyfaces. Then again, WWE and the fans were on the same page in realizing that a Shield babyface turn was all but inevitable. It didn't hurt guys like the Usos and Cody Rhodes to get beaten by the projected next main event stud.
