To the astonishment of all, it took only one minute and 26 seconds for Goldberg to Jackhammer Brock Lesnar through the canvas, scoring a clean victory over WWE's most imposing star. The shockwaves were immediate, mostly due to the meager length of the match.

If you don't count Money in the Bank cash-ins, or the impromptu Hulk Hogan/Yokozuna match at WrestleMania IX, then Goldberg vs. Lesnar is the shortest WWE pay-per-view main event in history, unlikely to be topped with its 1:26 duration.

The previous record belonged to Steve Austin and Vince McMahon's steel cage match at St. Valentines Day Massacre in 1999. Ignoring the pre-match extra-curriculars (what, with Vince falling off the cage and all), the actual match time was a mere 7:56.
