Depending on your tastes, Shane McMahon's match with X-Pac could very well have been the second-best match of a WrestleMania lacking in strong bouts. A huge chunk of credit for the success of the match could very well go to X-Pac, who's long been heralded for his knack to carry lesser opponents through his timing, expert bumping, and instincts.

McMahon certainly held his own for a virtual novice, thanks to the rigorous efforts of his trainer, Tom Prichard. "The Doctor of Desire" apparently worked with McMahon on a daily basis, beginning in late-February, to get him into TV-ready condition for WrestleMania. Given that Prichard had a huge hand in the development of both Kurt Angle and The Rock, among many, many others, it's less of a surprise that McMahon looked as good as he did.
