Anyone that bet on The Rock to defeat Stone Cold in the WWE Championship match was on par with Chevy Chase revealing in the movie Dirty Work that he bet on Mr. T in Rocky III: he deserved to lose his money, and so would any bettor backing "The Great One" on March 28, 1999.

So while the ending was hardly in doubt, Cole (struggling mightily to fill in for Jim Ross) inadvertently let the cat out of the bag for any blissfully-naive viewers. As Hell in a Cell was lowering for the penultimate match, Cole informed viewers about the Home Shopping Network post-show, where you could hear comments from "the new WWF Champion."

The remark was edited off of future releases of the show (including WWE Network's version), so if you've never heard it, take a listen.
