Mixed feelings swept over wrestling fans and critics the world over when 52-year-old Mark Calaway ended his in-ring career at WrestleMania's conclusion. The match with Roman Reigns was understandably clunky, but did the trick of ending a great career with a bit of dignity. The post-match symbolism will be remembered far more than the brawl itself.

In working the match, Undertaker became the oldest WrestleMania main eventer ever, breaking a one-year-old record set by Triple H, who was 46 when he lost to Reigns the year before. Other previous 40-plus year olds to close out Mania include Andre the Giant (3), Sgt. Slaughter (7), Shawn Michaels (23, 26), The Rock (29), and Batista (30). Undertaker did it three times total, at 24, 26, and concluding with 33.
