Further fine margins as we move onto the next entry on our list, this time looking at Bull Nakano’s 1994 triumph.

Having been brought into the company as an associate of Luna Vachon, Nakano would make her official TV debut on Monday Night Raw on Aug. 1, 1994. There, she battled Women’s Champion Alundra Blayze to a double count-out, but had clearly done enough to muscle her way into the title picture.

A rematch against Blayze, again for the title, came at SummerSlam a few weeks later, although Nakano was unsuccessful once more. Ultimately, she’d have to wait until Nov. 20 to capture the gold, defeating Blayze on a show in the Tokyo Dome at the Big Egg Wrestling Universe event, which was actually promoted under the All Japan Women’s Pro-Wrestling banner.

That win came just 111 days after her Aug. 1 debut, which was in fact a re-debut. Nakano had appeared for the WWE back in 1986 at a couple of shows at Madison Square Garden and the Boston Garden, but I hardly think you could class a pair of throwaway tag team bouts as part of her 1994 push…
