10 Fastest WWE Title Changes Ever
5. CM Punk Turns Heel
The overwhelming consensus on CM Punk's first three years with WWE was that they were pretty good, but in no way, shape or form comparable to the time he spent in Ring of Honor. To reach those heights, most of us said, he would need to turn heel.
This finally happened at Extreme Rules 2009, when the Straight Edge Superstar - fresh from beating Umaga in a Samoan Strap Match (whatever the hell that is) earlier on the night - crashed Jeff Hardy's celebrations by cashing in Money in the Bank.
What made this such a brilliantly low move was that Jeff - just about the most popular wrestler on the entire roster a the time - had just captured the World Heavyweight Championship from long-time adversary Edge after a punishing Ladder Match.
Punk saw that his second-ever world title reign lasted no more than three minutes, rushing down to the ring and nailing him with the GTS twice in quick succession - all before the Charismatic Enigma even had a chance to share a word with JR, who had optimistically joined him in the ring for a celebratory interview.
