Cody Rhodes has been on the cusp of main event status several times throughout his WWE career and once his current program with Goldust is over, it may be time for WWE to throw him into the title scene to test the waters. Rhodes is a very skilled performer between the ropes and he has proven his worth against several main event stars over the years. His match with Rey Mysterio was one of the highlights of WrestleMania 27 and his reign as Intercontinental champion helped bring the title back into the spotlight. Rhodes has a style that would mesh very well with Daniel Bryan as they both have a lot of technical ability while also maintaining the ability to do high flying moves that excite the crowd. Rhodes doesn't have to win the title to come away from this feud in a better place than when he went in. Sometimes just being in the hunt for the company's top title is a step in the right direction and can lead to great things down the line. Rhodes would probably be a challenger in between bigger feuds, but there is no doubt that he would be able to keep up with Bryan in the ring and deliver a great PPV main event.
