If you want to talk about things you definitely cannot be caught doing in a professional fighting arena, putting your hands on a referee is pretty much a no-brainer, right?

Someone should have reminded The Kansas City Bandit, Jason High, about that irredeemable crime coming into his Lightweight bout with Rafael dos Anjos at UFC Fight Night 42.

High was enjoying a two-fight win streak and clearly wanted to extend that record in his first trip outside of his usual Welterweight habitat, with a victory over one of UFC's Lightweight mainstays.

To his dismay, he couldn't get the job done and lost the fight via TKO in the second round, yet it was his actions post-defeat that spelled the beginning of the end of his second (and last) UFC tenure.

Feeling outraged at the ref's decision to stop the bout, a visibly distraught High shoved referee Kevin Mulhall.

Immediately after the fight, Dana White didn't hesitate in announcing he was 'cut' and went as far as to aggressively remind High that 'you don't ever, ever f*cking touch a referee, ever'.

High did apologise for his actions on Twitter and mentioned how it would 'never happen again', but he hasn't appeared for the promotion since and was most recently seen plying his trade in the Professional Fighters League.
