10 Forgotten Finishers From Well-Known WWE Superstars

6. John Cena - Protobomb

Long before he was planting people with the Attitude Adjustment (or even came up with its original name), John Cena would use a Spin Out Powerbomb to best his rivals. He executed the manoeuvre rather well and it does deserve points for its innovative name — the Protobomb.

However, in typical pre-Superman Cena fashion, the Doctor of Thuganomics wanted to get under Brock Lesnar's skin and created a new finisher called the FU to match The Beast's F-5. This, of course, has become synonymous with Cena ever since.

Though he dropped the Protobomb, he did eventually adopt a modified version of it into his infamous "Five Moves of Doom". The only difference is that this iteration doesn't involve as much spinning and its actually more of a backdrop than a powerbomb.
