Speaking of Mr. RKO.

Here's a trip back to a time before Randy Orton was even hitting that famous finish! He debuted on WWE's main roster as a fresh-faced young rookie in 2002, but quickly forced his way into the Evolution faction and found a finisher for life in 2003. Before that moment of inspiration, Randy had a clunkier signature.

His finisher was the O-Zone, which was also sometimes called the Overdrive. Opponents would bend over as Orton grabbed the arm closest to him, then he'd thrust forwards and spin them around onto their backs. Being brutally honest, unless peers got the speedy whip motion just right, it...looked rather crappy and low impact.

The RKO was soon introduced as a take on DDP's Diamond Cutter (more to come on that one later), and Randy would never look back. Now, it's impossible to imagine his career without that famous move. It defo wasn't his original finisher though. The O-Zone/Overdrive was.
