10 Forgotten Gems From WWF's New Generation Era

9. Shawn Michaels & Diesel Vs. 1-2-3 Kid & Razor Ramon (Action Zone - October 1994)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dud9ty6TUdE WWE have a history of stacking up new television shows with big main events to get people to tune in. When they launched Action Zone in 1994, the first few weeks had blockbuster main events but the best bout in the history of the show has to be the Tag Team Title match between HBK & Big Daddy Cool (the champs) against The Bad Guy and The Kid. With these four guys all being great friends, travelling on the road together and all wanting each other to succeed, it just brings this match up to another level. Kevin Nash works well against smaller guys, so working with Razor and Waltman brought out the best in him, while Shawn Michaels can work with pretty much anyone. The last five minutes of this match feature some of the most exciting exchanges you'll ever see in a WWF match. After HBK inadvertently superkicks Diesel, he's left to fend for himself against Razor and The Kid for a few minutes until Nash hits that huge big boot right into The Kid's face while the ref is distracted, allowing Michaels to score the win and ensure the titles stay with the 'Sexy Boy' and his hired muscle. It's a borderline crime that this match isn't talked about more than it is, so make sure and check it out by watching the video above. Hopefully one day they will stick it on the WWE Network too.
